I’m excited to share that the finalists for the first edition of the scan.art Emerging Artist Prize 2024 have been announced! As a proud partner and sponsor of this prestigious prize, I’m thrilled to see such a diverse and talented group of artists being recognized. This year’s prize attracted an impressive 1,692 applicants from 109 countries, showcasing their best works. After an extensive review process, our esteemed jury of seven art industry experts selected 24 exceptional artists who will now have the opportunity to exhibit at the Finalist Exhibition at the Bakerhouse Gallery in Graz, Austria.

A Global Celebration of Emerging Talent
This inaugural edition of the scan.art Emerging Artist Prize stands out as a truly international competition, with:
- 897 applicants from Europe
- 401 applicants from Asia
- 115 applicants from Africa
- 112 applicants from North America
- 96 applicants from South America
- 71 applicants from Australia & Oceania
A total of 3,780 artworks were submitted, spanning various media. Paintings led the submissions at 39%, followed by photography at 25%, mixed media at 19%, and drawing at 17%. The diversity in style and technique underscores the creativity and innovation of this year’s participants.
Final Exhibition and What’s Next
The 24 finalists will exhibit their works on October 18, 2024, at the Bakerhouse Gallery in Graz, Austria. During this exhibition, the winners of the scan.art Emerging Artist Prize 2024 will be announced. These winning artists will go on to showcase their works at the Discovery Art Fair and World Art Dubai, offering them further international exposure and recognition.
